Preventive maintenance of a transport vehicle

A vehicle off the road earns nothing, and a breakdown costs more than the maintenance that would have prevented it. Preventive maintenance means replacing what wears out in time — before it breaks.

By kilometres and by time

Each operation has two due dates: a number of kilometres and a length of time. A vehicle that drives a lot reaches the kilometre limit first; a vehicle that drives little, the time limit — oil ages even when parked. Whichever of the two comes first is the one that counts.

The MOUTOUKA starting plan

These intervals are the ones MOUTOUKA proposes by default, drawn from field practice. Adjust them to your vehicle: the manufacturer's service book is the reference.

Three alert levels

Two habits that make it all work

When history takes over

Once the same part has been replaced at least twice, MOUTOUKA forecasts the next replacement from the interval actually observed on that vehicle, and announces it 30 days or 1,000 km ahead. And a part replaced too often is flagged: see the guide The expense categories to watch.
